Bonfire night is not for another three months yet, well a bit less but whose counting. But whereas when I was little fireworks were largely confined to 5 November, these days the season begins from the beginning of September and lasts until the beginning of January. And to be sure the maximum profit is derived from this, the fireworks shops, like this one in Rawlinson Street, appear from mid-August onwards.
There’s something very shifty about this business. to my mind. Usually it’s an empty shop temporarily squatted, but in this case it seems to be a second-hand furniture shop that is having a change of identity for the duration.

oh not already please – last year actually did not seem as bad as previous years – they didn’t start till about the third week in October and petered out in mid-November.

As I kid, I did like cracker night, but I can’t say that I am upset that they have since banned it here in Tasmania. It always ended in tears!

Still, it’s a great building in my view.
Get a fortune for that furniture here in the US
