Lawson Street

Make the most of it while you can.  This row of commercial buildings in Lawson Street, facing the Town Hall, housed until recently a firm of solicitors and Shoreline Films.  The solicitors relocated to a prime site on Ramsden Square.  Shoreline Films seem to have vanished without trace – I sincerely hope not as they were a fine example of new and innovative industry in Barrow and were an asset to the town.

And why have they gone?  Because the persons of limited intelligence (aka Tories) in the Town Hall have decreed that we desperately need a marina in the Devonshire Dock, and that the marina needs to have a view of the town hall.  So these buildings have to go…
