Walney Bridge revisited

Walney Bridge

Last Wednesday I gave you the bridge from the Barrow Island side, at high tide in the pouring rain. Today, here’s the opposite view, from Walney Promenade in sunshine, at low tide, looking towards Barrow Island and the shipyard.

Apparently it’s going to be quite a 100th birthday party on 30 July, and your correspondent will be in attendance.

  1. Thanks for your lovely pictures.

  2. I do like that patch of jade under the bridge. I can’t wait to see the correspondents pictorial evidence of party life.
