Walney Bridge centenary fireworks

It’s a new day now so I can post, for Monday, the fireworks for the birthday of the Walney Bridge.

Oh, I love fireworks! I’m lost for words – let the rest of the pictures speak for themselves.

  1. Hi

I’ve got to say the pictures are very nice. I worked on this display which took us from 9.30am to 10.30pm setting up.I crew part time for Jubilee fireworks Kingswinford who did this display. Really enjoyed every aspect of it and the finished result was outstanding. We we’re all very pleased with the cheers and applause we received from the crowds afterwards and the appreciation from the locals crossing the bridge when it re-opened after we ‘d carried out our safety checks. It made all the hard work worthwhile.

    Regards

    Graham (GTATTY)

  2. Well, thank you for your hard work, Graham.

I won’t say it was the best display I have ever seen – I think Ken Livingstone’s farewell-to-the-GLC show in 1986 would take some beating – but it was a damed good show!
