Another Fine Bus

Another fine bus...

One of Stagecoach’s fleet of local buses has in the last couple of months been given a makeover other than in the fleet’s usual red, white and blue. It’s bedecked with monochrome images of Laurel and Hardy.

The bus seems to be on Tesco duty today but usually it runs on route 6 from West Shore to Ulverston via Dalton. The idea is to publicise the Laurel and Hardy Museum in Ulverston, an attractive little market town some 15 km up the road which is the prim maiden aunt to Barrow’s disreputable nephew. There’s a museum there because Arthur Jefferson, aka Stan Laurel, was born in the town at 3 Argyle Street in 1890.
