No Snow on Black Combe

While the papers continue to tell us we are struggling with blizzards and snowdrifts, by Friday afternoon what snow there was on Black Combe had largely vanished in the brilliant sunshine.

  2. You really have pinched my mountain, which is the only thing here that has snow.
    I thought the UK was salt and grit less, it seems not.

  4. babooshka, Snaefell and Black Combe are true siblings! They are about the same height and I think they are opposite ends of the same geological formation that runs under the sea.

    Hey – no post from me today but that’s largely because I have been given a whole load of darkroom equipment including a Durst M670 colour enlarger to play with (but no wet chemicals sop far)
